Surprises and beneficial shocks are guaranteed at this informal one-off gathering, with a nod to 1920s Dada cabaret. All are welcome \u2013 not just Joyceans!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>David Collard<\/strong>&nbsp;writes for print and online publications including the&nbsp;<em>Times Literary Supplement<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Literary Review<\/em>,<em>&nbsp;3:AM Magazine<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>gorse<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Exacting Clam<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>White Review<\/em>&nbsp;and others. He is the author of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.saggingmeniscus.com\/catalog\/multiple_joyce\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Multiple Joyce: One Hundred Short Essays about James Joyce\u2019s Cultural Legacy<\/em><\/a>&nbsp;(2020) and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.saggingmeniscus.com\/catalog\/a_crumpled_swan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>&nbsp;A Crumpled Swan<\/em><\/a>&nbsp;(2025). He lives in London, where he organises cultish online literary gatherings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stephanie Ellyne<\/strong>&nbsp;is an American actress based in London. Stage credits include&nbsp;<em>Rest Upon the Wind<\/em>&nbsp;(Riverside Studios, Theatre Royal Haymarket, and tours to the UAE) and playing Virginia Woolf in&nbsp;<em>Mad Women in Attics&nbsp;<\/em>(New Wimbledon Theatre). Her voice work includes the British\/American audio serial&nbsp;<em>Dark Shadows<\/em>, nominated for the BBC Audio Drama Awards, and narrating the 45-hour audiobook of Lucy Ellmann\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Ducks, Newburyport<\/em>&nbsp;for which she was commended in the&nbsp;<em>New York Times<\/em>. (Ellmann\u2019s novel was described in&nbsp;<em>The Irish Times<\/em>&nbsp;by Declan O\u2019Driscoll as \u2018one of the outstanding books of the century, so far\u2019 and as such an equivalent to&nbsp;<em>Ulysses<\/em>.) She has recorded short stories for the annual Costa Awards and is a frequent narrator for RNIB Talking Books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>R\u00f3n\u00e1n Hession<\/strong>\u00a0is a writer, musician and civil servant from Dublin. His debut novel\u00a0<em>Leonard and Hungry Paul<\/em>\u00a0was nominated for the Irish Book Awards, British Book Awards, the BAMB awards, and long-listed for the Republic of Consciousness prize. His third album\u00a0<em>Dictionary Crimes<\/em>\u00a0was nominated for the Choice Music Prize for Irish Album of the Year. His second novel\u00a0<em>Panenka\u00a0<\/em>was published by Bluemoose in 2021 and his third,\u00a0<em>Ghost Mountain<\/em>, in 2024. He will be performing as his musical alter ego &#8220;Mumblin&#8217; Deaf Ro,&#8221; accompanied\u00a0by his son Jacob.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nuala O\u2019Connor<\/strong>&nbsp;lives in Co. Galway. Her poetry and fiction have been widely published, anthologised, and won many literary awards. Her sixth novel&nbsp;<em>Seaborne<\/em>, about Irish-born pirate Anne Bonny, was nominated for the Dublin Literary Award and was shortlisted for Eason Novel of the Year at the 2024 An Post Irish Book Awards. Her novel&nbsp;<em>Nora&nbsp;<\/em>(New Island), about Nora Barnacle and James Joyce, was a Top 10 historical novel in the&nbsp;<em>New York Times<\/em>. She won Irish Short Story of the Year at the 2022 An Post Irish Book Awards. Her fifth poetry collection,&nbsp;<em>Menagerie<\/em>, was recently published by Arlen House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tickets are \u20ac25.
