Anna Livia Creative<\/strong><\/a> in association with The James Joyce Centre<\/strong><\/a> brings you \u2018Strings in the Earth and Air\u2026\u2019 The Musical World of James Joyce<\/strong> with Nicole Rourke<\/strong> (actor-writer) & Benjamin Dwyer<\/strong> (guitarist-composer) on Thursday, 12 June 2025 at 7.30pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join us in a celebration of Joyce\u2019s fascination with music<\/strong>. With excerpts from the early poetry collection, Chamber Music<\/strong><\/em>, through the melancholic stories of Dubliners<\/strong><\/em>, to the ornate worlds of Ulysses<\/strong><\/em> <\/em>and Finnegans Wake<\/strong><\/em>, Rourke and Dwyer offer a captivating programme of Joyce\u2019s musical obsessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The show includes excerpts of \u2018raw sensuality\u2019 from Nuala O\u2019Conner\u2019s celebrated book Nora: A Love Story of Nora Barnacle and James Joyce<\/strong><\/em>. It features a fabulous text by Nicole Rourke exploring the sensual worlds of Nora, Molly and Joyce, called The Lingerie Queen of Dublin<\/em>. Wine will be served following the show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets are \u20ac20. Doors open at 7pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
