Bloomsday Festival 2025<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It seems like just another ordinary day for Rosie and her grandad. But as soon as they step outside, they find themselves on a blooming great adventure around Dublin on the 16th of June, 1904!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join us at The James Joyce Centre<\/strong><\/a> on Sunday, June 15th at 2pm<\/strong> for a Bloomsday Festival<\/strong><\/a> children’s event of fun, mischief, and Joyce! Author and illustrator \u00dana Woods<\/strong> will read from her new children’s book A Blooming Great Day<\/strong><\/em><\/a> <\/strong>(The O’Brien Press) and lead a drawing workshop. The children will draw scenes from the book and design their own hats! This is a great way for children to be introduced to Joyce and to partake in Dublin’s great literary tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00dana Woods is a children\u2019s book illustrator and author who lives in Dublin with her husband and two children and their ginger cat. Her previous books include Have You Seen the Dublin Vampire?<\/em> and A Spooktacular Place to Be<\/em>, both published by The O\u2019Brien Press. \u00dana loves working with bright colours and patterns. She also loves reading and running.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets are \u20ac10 or \u20ac5 each in our 2-for-1 special.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The B<\/strong>loomsday Festival<\/strong><\/a> is organised by The James Joyce Centre<\/strong><\/a> in partnership with F\u00e1ilte Ireland, Olhausen’s Sausages, and the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sports and Media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
