<\/figure>\n\n\n\nIt\u2019s time to don that boater hat and join us for an afternoon of readings and songs from Ulysses<\/em> as part of the Bloomsday Festival\u2019s flagship event Readings and Songs<\/strong> at Meeting House Square<\/strong> in Temple Bar, 3pm \u2013 6pm on 16 June 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A long-standing and treasured tradition, this afternoon of songs, readings and performances from Ulysses<\/em> in the heart of the city is an essential part of the Bloomsday experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This year, we have actor and writer Tara Flynn<\/strong> at the helm in Temple Bar, to introduce a fabulously chaotic cast of noted Irish actors, musicians, pundits and everyone in between, who will read extracts from Ulysses<\/em>. The readings will bring to life Joyce\u2019s immortal words, from his description of Dublin\u2019s \u201csnotgreen sea\u201d, to Molly Bloom\u2019s famous \u201cyes\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This year\u2019s esteemed readers are acclaimed actors Nora-Jane Noone<\/strong>, Gerry O’Brien<\/strong>, Eimear Keating<\/strong>, Geraldine McAlinden<\/strong>, Rachel Wren<\/strong>, Margaret McAuliffe<\/strong>, Steve Hartland<\/strong>, David Mulcahy<\/strong><\/strong>, Sinead Murphy<\/strong>, and Mary Murray <\/strong>and writers Conner Habib <\/strong>and Dermot Bolge<\/strong>r. The event will also feature the celebrated singer-songwriter David Keenan<\/strong> and the comedic brilliance of Katherine Lynch<\/strong> and Goblins, Goblins, Goblins<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
