The James Joyce Centre in association with the Five Lamps Arts Festival is proud to host a reading of Madeira: The Secrets of Sisters<\/em> by Michael J. Harnett<\/strong> on Wednesday, 17 April 2024 at 1pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two sets of sisters meet in a Dublin cafe for a casual chat. Suddenly, disturbing news emerged which shatters the atmosphere challenging their lives thereafter.\u00a0By turns searing and sensitive the women at the heart of the drama display what it is to have courage and fortitude. Starring\u00a0Geraldine Plunkett, Brenda Brooks\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Deirdre Monaghan.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the past five years,\u00a0Dublin Touring Theatre<\/strong>\u00a0has written, produced and staged\u00a0The Noble Call<\/em>, The CloudSpotter<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Bullied\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>in local theatres (Sean O’Casey, Clasac, Viking, Bewleys Cafe Theatre), care homes, community centres, schools, and theatres abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reading is part of the Five Lamps Arts Festival.
